Lyn Kirby, CEO of Beauty Brands and famed architect Kiku Obata tapped RPG to develop and manufacture a new prestige format for Beauty Brands. Our objective was to create a highly innovative, brand new store concept.
Beauty Brands’ business model fills a white space that straddles masstige, specialty and department stores. The design concept offers 4,000 square feet of luxury salon services among 6,000 square feet of prestige product categories including color, complexion, skincare, haircare and accessories to address every angle of the consumer’s beauty needs. The stores are bright, contemporary, and merchandised by both product category and brand. The blended use of various materials including wood, lacquer, color core laminates, powder-coated steel – all in soft shades of white, grey, and gold with peach accents – appeal to even the most discerning shopper. Cosmetics stations, gondolas, fragrance bars, and perimeter wall fixtures serve to display tester and open sell merchandise that allow the consumer to shop with or without store assistance.
RPG manufactured everything within the box, from displays, millwork, fixtures, gondolas to open-sell systems. RPG considers Beauty Brands an excellent example of pulling together our broad scope of capabilities with optimal results, and we are currently in the process of rolling out 30 stores.
